Long story short I was with horses since 13 many moons ago. Husband passed away thirteen years ago and I lost all drive. I am remarried and my children are now teens. I think I'm back in the saddle again as they say. I now have two barred rock hens, one oops it's a cockerel, two I think golden comets all about twelve weeks old; I have golden comets that are seven weeks; I have four Delaware babies, one salmon favorolle, two Easter eggers, one Olive egger, one cream legbar, golden cuckoo maran, two cuckoo marans, two blue marans and two meyer meal maker possibly Rhode island reds all of these are two and a half weeks old. The desire for animals is here as started my first set of chicks.. I'm ready for my horses again possibly pigs too..I'm back..sort of.

Welcome to BYC!

And welcome back from all you've been through, good to see you are ready to go again. Animals have a wonderful way of taking us out of ourselves because they have to be cared for and attention paid. I'm truly sorry for your loss. Any help (or aiding and abetting, lol) you need to get back into the animals, you can count on the members here. It sounds like you have a wonderful mixed flock started!

Very nice to have you here!

Welcome to BYC, and welcome back. Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm so sorry about the loss of your husband, but I'm glad things are working out for you now. :o) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.
