Feline Obesity *Pics added*

He's 5 years old, an owner surrender because they moved to a place that won't accept pets. (why a pet owner would move to a no-pet place is beyond me)

He's been doing really well, nothing besides his sneezing is a concern... as active as I would expect a fat cat to be. If he were human... he'd have to be a good 350 pounds as far as percentages go. Can't wait to see what the vet weighs him at!

I don't think he has any other health issues.. he eats and drinks fine... uses his litter box fine, though I'm surprised to see he uses it at night only. Instead of a lot of little pees from a kitten, it's one big pee.

I've never had a cat past the age of 6 months... always just gotten them vetted, fixed, and off to "cat people" since we're dog people. He's cool though, he hangs in the bathroom on a shelf over night and he's there in the morning, every morning. Greets you while you're brushing your teeth. Then he hides out until the TV comes on, and he comes to couch and visits husband, then he sleeps behind my knees.

He has an irrational fear of ceiling fans. He'll now walk bravely amongst the dogs, still ignoring them, much to Logan's dismay. Logan LOVES kitties... Ricca... not so much. She understands a cat in the house is not to be harmed, but she's not as happy about it as Logan is.

He had a blast last night playing with the plastic wrap off of plastic fork set. I balled up a napkin and threw it, he didn't care. Threw the plastic wrap, and he was all over that. He likes things that crinkle, that he can chew on. By "had a blast"... I mean he toyed with it for all of 5 minutes. Baby steps.

Still pondering if we'll add another cat or not.

Side note... BIG thumbs up to Tidy Cats MultiCat in the yellow bucket. It really does smell nice, retains the smell for days so you don't have to add more litter just for odor control, it clumps nicely, it's the best litter I've ever used. Can't tell we have a cat at all unless you actually see him. I'm used to smelling cat if there is a cat. Not this time!

My litter keeps the smell away, when it starts to smell it's because the litterbox itself has collected the smell. Nature's Miracle is great for getting rid of the smell from the box when it happens (and it will happen, unless you wash it regularly).

As for another cat, I'd either get an adult semi playful or two playful ones. My cat shares a room with the most playful cat in the house and she doesn't appreciate him constantly wanting to play. When out of the room he gets to play with the younger and more playful cat and has a blast. Semi playful will get Kit (fat cat) playing but to much playful and there are fights.
