My name is Lesley and I have 4 Serama teens and 3 quail.

I started out back in 2010 on a hatching project with my teenage daughter. She was deep into depression so I wanted her to experience the love of chickens. She hatched a few on her own and she felt herself again. It is amazing what a bond with a chicken can have on your mental state.

I love raising them as pets. People don't know how I can love a chicken, so I tell them you won't know until you try it.

I get it! I love all of ours! And a lot of them love me too! At the very least least they all like me!
