Female chasing male

My female pip has been chasing George around.

Is this normal? She seems to get pissed off with him once every 3 months

She is probably the head honcho among the other girls (top of pecking order). I got a roo and my bigger hens would chase him away from doing his business with the other hens. He had been a beta in his other flock with several roos. I gave those hens to my mom. They gobbled up food and were preventing me from having chicks,plus didn't lay as much as my other girls, so off they went. She may view him as weak...
