Female Duck Vent Biting

After one of my Pekin female had been "mated" anther female from her group ran up and started biting at her vent.
Has anyone seen this type of behavior before?
I know this is prevalent in chickens but I can not seem to locate anything on ducks.
I have been treating a few females for "prolapse" recently and now I think I know why.

Whew. I don't have an explanation, but I have seen ducks poking at each other (not so much around the vent area) during "the act."

I came on here for this exact same reason. Did you find anything out? I wonder if something bitter put on that area will help?
