female ducks mounting each other?

A question that I've been wanting to ask for some time is if it's normal for two females to mount each other. They seem to do it when near water and are very excited. I don't have any drakes, just the two girls.

Khaki campbell and a mallard mix.

If they are both female, it is a show of dominance.

Yep, it's a dominance thing, i have seen it here even in my mixed flock of drakes and ducks, usually the younger ducks.

My male ducks do this to eachother. It is a dominance thing.

It's a duck thing.
All my girls do it. They take turns who's on top.
We call it the ducky dance around here.
