Female Embden gosling won't eat

Thanks Miss Lydia, I won't be able to try it until I get home tonight, but I will get it at lunchtime today. If she's still alive when I get home, we will give it to her. How often should she get it, and how much? (Or are the directions on the container for geese?)
when i am giving it to get rapid response I give it 4 times a day. just use a dropper and put a small amt. at the opening of the bill, you'll waste alot of it but you have to be very careful not to put too much into their mouth so they don't aspirate it into their lungs. you can probably get her to drink some in her water too, actually it would be very good for all of them since they have been through so much.

Well, the only feed store I could get to today did not have it. She is still alive, but no better. But, on the bright side, she's not dead. I will try the only other feed store near my work on the way in tomorrow. By the time I get off of work, all the feed stores are closed. Even if I can't get it to her before it's too late, I will give it to the others, and will keep it on hand for any future emergencies. She is just so sweet. 10 days old today. The other gosling looks nearly twice her size.

Well, she appears to have worked up an appetite. She jumped into the fresh bowl of food, along with the others, this morning. No standing there in the corner.

Wonderful news... I know the only TSC close to us carries NB but I order mine on line since I have a pretty good size flock, but it would get what ever size you can so you can get them on it. but thats such good news, my only goose[gander] is an Embden. you'll love the breed.

For the first time, I feel like there is hope for her. She has been eating with good appetite this morning, and I've seen her poo three good healthy looking poops this morning. I've also seen her grooming herself, finally! Yeah, Narcissus!

I'm so glad she is perking up for you!

Not that it usually takes this long, but I know my chicks and ducklings always tucked right into their food when I got them, but goslings seem a bit more sensitive to the shipping or something. My goslings were in shipping for three days and yet still didn't eat for a whole 24 hours after I picked them up and put them into the brooder. I was so worried until I talked to more experienced geese people! And today, they are thriving!

I promise you, Miss Lydia I will post pictures. My daughter and I got some good pictures, earlier. So hard to get both of them in the picture, so you can see the dramatic size difference in the two of them. I'm going to get her to put them on the computer, and I'll come on here later and post them.

Thanks looking forward to seeing them...

This picture shows general size difference. Of course, they weren't the same distance from the camera, but you can see how much bigger Gertrude is than Narcissus.

Aren't they beautiful!
