Female over-mating?

Bless you for taking them in. Always wonderful to hear of happy safe places for ducklings/ducks in need.

Funny thing is I thought after my Runners and Buffs would get through their first year they would not be so obsessed with their drake, they will be 2 in late May and those girls are still running up to him bobbing their heads acting like lil hussy's. My Muscovy females have much more tact. lol
My crazies are really the 2 golden 300 girls. They are usually the first to kick the frenzy off. The 2 welsh harlequin are the most submissive followed by one of the rescues; 2 cayguas and rouen go back and forth; other rescue avoids it all and blue and black sweedish will throw anyone off of them in hysterical fashion. Looking forward to adding 3 runners next week and have an silver appleyard, saxony, white layer and 3 anconas incoming sometime later this year which will be my limit both in capacity and before my wife makes me live in the duck house.

Oh boy then the circus really starts. :lau My Runners and Buffs are the clowns around here they are so funny.
So excited for the runners. Thanks to some initial misinformation they were left off my initial list. Looked back into them as none of my others laid any sort of color egg and hoping between a black, blue and chocolate that I get a colored layer. Really waiting to see how they look mixed with the others.

You'll love them they are so cool and have to do everything as one.

My Runners lay blue eggs..
There are 2 Buffs that hatched with the Runners that don't realize they are not Runners too.
