Female Pekin keeps laying in Pond!

I keep finding her eggs in the pond. I made her a nest and she still lays them in the pond. What can I do to stop her?

My Grandmas Runners were like that too.

I remember she figured out who was laying in the Pond and she put her in a separate pen; with a nest box. One week later the duck learned to never lay in the pond again. Try Isolating her for a week or so.

Lock her up at night with a nest. Put a "fake egg" or two in the nest (I use golf balls). Don't let her out until 10 ish in the mornings. Most ducks lay by about 9 am, that will give her time to get used to laying in a nest. After a week or so of this she should get it, but my ducks are kept in until 9 - 10 am just so they don't lay out in their yard where I might miss it.
