oyster shell are so hard to find here in our region..you can see the coop set up below..she laid 2 hrs agoMy female quail are skittish too...well, all of my quail are, actually. It's in their nature, as prey birds. Do you have other quail in the coop with her? What is your set-up like?
I would recommend giving crushed up oyster shell on the side for calcium, rather than dissolved in the water. That way your quail can choose to eat it only when she needs it.
