This female rescue was missing a bunch of feathers on her back. I figured the light patches were the fluffy downy bits under. Nope. Those feathers are actually half silver? Is this a common thing with regrown feathers or is it some type of morph?

The silver gene from the SSC will alter other colors it interacts with. You can have a bird that carries some silver, or it could be the more gray under feathers not totally covered by new growth. How long has it been since the feathers started regrowing? If the bird came from bad conditions, a poor diet can alter the feathers, and you might not see the real colors fully until it molts out again.

It's been about a month. She was picked on a lot I'm assuming. Her head and back was picked clean. All those feathers are new growth.

You are possibly right. After a molt she may go back to whatever color she's supoose to be lol
