Yesterday I adopted 2 female Zebra finches!
Mother and Daughter I was told. I raised finches many moons ago and I have missed them. Their little beeps are so special. The lady I adopted them from could no longer care for them. She did complain a little about their mess....what bird isn't messy ...right! I laughed when she said they make a terrible mess in the water cup. She wasn't kidding!! These 2 ladies act like ducks! Within minutes the cup is empty. This morning, I caught each one and checked them over good. No signs of buggies.....thank goodness! I think they just love to splash. I am moving them into a large flight cage today. Guess I will fix them a shallow pool so maybe they won't run out of drinking water so fast!
Now...I am looking for 2 males. Any ideas in the west Georgia area would be welcome. I would prefer a breeder over a pet store.
