Females or males???(more pics)

I only say the EE is a hen because I have one that looks the same but has a larger comb and she lays an egg a day for me.

That is the key though - YOURS is OLDER and is LAYING. A hen's comb gets bigger and reader when she's close to laying and I don't think the OP's EE will be laying anytime soon. You can't really compare too birds that are different ages.

I am similarly confused about my buff cochin. She/he doesn't act like a rooster, the other roosters his/her age are trying to mate with him/her and he/she is really a snuggly cutie. They are all almost 4 months old. Is this a boy or a girl?

I have four 15 wk old cochins and three 20 wk cochins. I don't know anything about silkies, I say the EE is a hen and the buff Cochin, i'm torn. The large comb makes me think roo, but she's six months old so the size of the comb could be normal for a hen. At 6 months she or he should be laying soon or crowing. I think you should have an answer soon.
The last poster: the large comb and waddles on that cochin lead me to believe that's a Roo. Even my 20 wk old female, who i suspect will be laying soon because of how red and how big her comb and waddle are, does not have that big of a comb and waddle.
This is her at 15 wks. Her comb and waddle are bigger and redder now. Your cochin's comb looks like the rooster in the backgrounds comb. I know that 's not the same breed but still a roo.

Here she is at 20 wks. notice she doesn't have much a comb but some waddles.

wouldn't we be seeing saddle feathers by now on the EE and Cochin if they were roos? My Buff Orpington pullets are almost seven months now and have that much or more comb and wattles (as the cochin). And I see no saddle feathers in the pic.

As for the EE... there's not much comb there at all and I see no saddle feathers. It's true that EEs are confusing and it could be boy or girl, but I definitely don't see anything that pointed to definite roo myself. My EE girls all looked just like that at that age.

The first could be a girl. I've had ee girls look just like that.

The second is probably a girl if she's over four months - should lay around 20 weeks...

Though I've only had a few silkies and sizzles, that one suggests boy to me.

My sizzles laid at straight up 22 weeks, got better crests earlier than the males.

Peeper the EE is a boy. The comb is way too red for a 2.5 month old to be a pullet. My EEer girls are just now getting red combs and they are 22 weeks. My EE boy had a redder comb at 2 months old.

I don't know anything about cochins so I can 't guess there.

THe Silkie I will guess is a boy, simply because it looks like a white version of the little buff silkie roo I used to have.
