Ok so I was told to give them 10-50mg per kg of duck. All I have is a ml dropper. How do I do this lol. I want to give it by mouth.

Seems to me there should be information with the fenbendazole stating how many mg are in a ml of the suspension.

For example, this is from a Heartland Vet Supply site: Panacur is a 10% suspension of fenbendazole as a ready to administer oral anthelmintic for cattle, sheep and horses. 1 ml contains 100 mg active ingredient fenbendazole.

I ended up calling the pharmacy and asked them to help me out lol. Supper easy now that I know.
Thank u!

50mg per kg is too high according to Avian Medicine Principles & Applications, Panacurs site & Vet Drug Handboook
  • BIRDS:
NOTE: Fenbendazole may cause severe toxicity in some birds.

Routine deworming
(extra-label)
a)Labeled indications in breeding, broiler, and replacement chickens (FDA approved): 1 mg/kg PO daily in drinking water for 5 consecutive days. The required daily volume of fenbendazole suspension is calculated from the total estimated body weight (kg) of the entire group of chickens to be treated. Formula on product label contains calculations for daily requirements and mixing instructions.33
b)Raptors: 20 mg/kg PO every 24 hours for 5 days7
c)Psittacines, passerines: 20 mg/kg PO every 24 hours for 3 days7
d)Pigeons: 10 mg/kg PO once daily for 3 days7
(Doesn't specify ducks here but nothings over 20mg/kg)

High end of chicken dose in 3 sources I listed was 20mg/kg. 1mg/kg daily cleared my chick with Tapeworm, taenia sp. after 4 days
