Hi thank you all so very much for all the replies it has helped alot.
We have been keeping Ed teathered and moving him every day or so since we got him. I had no idea so may other people do that
I wanted to get him a "Dog" house to sleep in but the hubby informed me it probably not be a good idea with the three big bear we have knowing iving near by. And reminded me of the goat on Jarassic Park
not a good thought. So he is currently spending the night in our garage. I paln to build him a small shed to go into at night or bad weather over the weekend.
Ed is a mixed breed we really have no idea what kind. He is between the size of a pigmy and a nubian with the flopy ears. We plan on having him nutered as soon as he is big enough (we heard horror stories of them being nuttered to early and it killing them) Since getting him I have trained him to walk on a lead and he wears a dog collar with our phone number and his name incase he would ever get loose. He loves to go for walks just like a dog would all the neighbors find it rather odd til they remeber I do the same thing with my pet raccoon.lol
So basicly all I have to feed him is good hay? is this even in the winter? we live in Nepa and will the hay be enough when he cant forage?
Also I plan to get him a buddy as soon as I can since he is currently the only "herd" animal I have which would be better to get him a nother weather or a nanny? Would it make a difference if he is nuttered what sex I get to put with him?
Thank you again for so much great info!
