Fence Height

Well we nearly finished our coop, we have it on a section of our garden, at the back away from the road, we are in NZ so no predators as such, but we do have a cat, we hope a chicken will be too much of a challenge for her. Next to the garden is a reserve so will put up some chicken wire to stop them going through there. They will be rescue battery hens so their condition won't be too good in the beginning (hoping they'll stay closer to home)
Was wondering if the fence we have will be fine. It's just at the front to try and stop them going at the front of the property. Thoughts would be appreciated, thanks

You have to cover the top because hawks or other types of birds of prey will swoop in. I've had this happen already. A hawk found a small opening in the top of my bird netting and got inside the pen. Thank God it didn't kill any chickens!!!
