Fenced in area outside of coop/run

We have a great coop and run for our 4 birds. I'm looking to fence in the chickens in the surrounding areas. So basically I'd let them out of the coop/run during the day, and they could have more room in this penned in area. I don't need a roof at this point.

Can you guys link me to some really easy wire fences my husband and I can build? I guess there needs to be a door, otherwise how are we going to get in the fenced in area to get to the coop/run, know what I mean?

We bought one of those electric wire fences last summer, but we never ended out electrifying it. It was not really cheap, but certainly convenient. The poles are built in, and easy to push into the ground, so we were able to move to move it around as necessary. The fence is flexible enough that we just leaned on it a little and swung our leg over to get inside.
I must admit, though, that a couple of times I got my foot caught up in the fence and wiped out!

You can buy step-in posts at your local farm store/Tractor Supply and a roll of chicken wire and create and easy, moveable fence for this - it's not as easy the portable electric poultry fencing but it is still fairly easy. We just make a "gate" out of a piece of lattice (the kind that goes around the base of a porch) and use a bungie cord to latch it closed.

What I did was come across some orange snow fencing stapled to 4ft grade stakes and make a movable pen that runs off of the run.Just wiggle the post out of the ground and the hammer in the new spot. Just move it every 2/3weeks although not now because the ground is frozen. The only part that I don't move is where the run gate is,so I can keep them in the run or just open it to the penned in area but also I can get into both because the gate opens to the first post.

They do sell this stuff locally, but we bought it on-line, which I think was cheaper. While it is easy to set up (posts just push into the ground), it is much easier to move it with two people. We fold it up accordion style to move it.

I like the snow fence idea, if you do not plan to electrify.
