Feral (SP?) cats a threat?

We feed ferals and as a result our farm is rodent free. To make it work you need to protect your birds with hardware cloth of 1/2" guage, which also keeps bigger predators out, and to think ahead at all times so the birds and cats do not mingle. Feel free to check my home page for thoughts on this!

Well, I happen to have a HUGE love for kitties, but this lady is absolutely correct. Yes, you have a threat. My own two cats love to stalk my chickens, which I also have a huge love for. My cats are master hunters, not even feral. So, I have to make certain that when I go in at night, so do the cats.

so long as the cat stays in the barn eating mice its cool (we have 1 old tomcat and lots of mice and rats) but ive had to get a few dogs and cats in the ground for messing with my birds especially chicks and younguns

i have 1 feral cat (Ranger is his name) he runs from my chickens and guineas (my chickens love to chase him)

i have 2 other cats that are hanging out here and they stalk my chickens (both of them will be shot if they come after my chickens again)

btw my chickens are 1 year old
