fermented feed problem

I've been feeding our birds fermented feed out of large bowls. They sit in the bowls though, and now they have big globs of dried feed hanging off of their stomach feathers. They look terrible! I was wondering if anyone else has this issue, and whether it is a problem, or just unsightly. I don't want them getting some infection or anything.

Never had that problem. Might wanna think about rinsing and blow drying the birds. Try slow feeder bowls, one may be able to stand in the middle but they sure can't sit in the food!
