Fermented feed

Pics
48 hours... soupy consistency with no standing water on top. Is this film okay? It is actively bubbling, you can hear it and about two bubbles a second.

Looks very gray to me. Perhaps that's just the photo. I'm still trying to get my ratios down. Still using too much water. Straining it is such a pain. I went to just a morning feeding since its get darker sooner their almost all in the coop by the time I get home from work but I'm not sure if I'm giving them too much. They eat every tiny dot I give them but it seems like so much food.

The film should be fine. The top layer can dry out a bit on the very surface especially if you don't stir it back down, and can look grey-brown and crackled. Was more concerned about the black spots but I guess that's BOSS?

Hi! I’m new to the fermenting feed gang! Is this white foam on top just the fermenting process or is it some kind of bacteria? I started this ferment just yesterday morning. It has kind of a tangy-sweet grape-y smell.

It's looking good. Give it a good stir and let it keep bubbling away.
