Fermenting Feed for Meat Birds

Hey guys, I know there are a lot of believers on this thread. Would you do me a huge favor and pray for a woman by the name of Teresa. She is in the hospital and really not doing good at all. :(

Thanks

I was once told that a sincere hope is one of the strongest forms of prayer. I don't think my mom would have made it through her hospital visits without all the hopes and prayers that went with her. I will keep your friend in my thoughts and hopes tonight!

Thank you very much ChocolateMouse. :)

If we knew all that is going on and has been going on for many years it would probably scare us to death. No doubt if there is the technology to do outrageous things to plants and animals, you know somebody somewhere is doing it to humans too. There is no telling what is out there that we don't know about!

TW, I firmly believe that the GMO's that are in all our foods today are making unreliable traits in our genes go from one generation to another. Case in point. I have 3 daughters. All the husbands had traits that were passed down to the grandkids. Jenny had 2 children. Her husband, geeky, intelligent, slight OCD . Their son John has Asbergers a form of autism. Geeky, intelligent waaaay OCD. He was homeschooled for a couple of years because he couldn't stand to be around people. But he found a couple of buddies (same condition) that he relates to and started high school this year !5 yrs old. Their daughter has Downs Syndrome and I don't know if that has anything to do with Jenny eating GMO's.
Then there is Brandi. My youngest. Her ex husband was thin, wirey, and very jumpy. Their son Patrick as ADHD. The most severe case their Dr had ever seen. He's 11 now and has the mental capacity of a 5 yr old. His little brain is so wired that he can't concentrate to learn. But so incredibly lovable.
Now the difficult one. Aimee, my middle daughter that I live with, was married for 11 yrs to a surly, mean, depressed man. I was on my knees thanking God when she finally ended that. AJ is 20 now. Deep depression, bipolar, psycotic, constantly wanting to commit suicide. They have him in a bubble to keep him with us. He can't work, can't function in a social group. NEVER had friends. Many nights, I hear him run down the hall past my bedroom, running to Mama because demons were looking at him, talking to him. Medication does just enough to help a little. Can't get Medicaid because, hey, just a little depression right? Highly intelligent, he know's whats going on. And just waiting. Waiting.
This is why I began my quest to eat healthier, raise chickens, and try to undo some of the damage. My daughter told me the other day, "Mama, you moved in with us because you needed us, but , man, we needed you more." AJ is a pistol to deal with and I've finally learned how. ha

Boy Linda, you have more than got your hands full! I feel for you and I pray that God will keep you strong and lead you in all those circumstances. A huge hug to you!

I really do believe you are right, I have said for a long time that most of the sicknesses we have and all these new mental problems that kids are having come from our food. Oh, and not to mention all the crap they are giving us and calling it medicine - including vaccines! Here in the area that I live in there are a huge huge percent of women who would have lost their baby had they not been sent to a bigtime hospital about 200 miles away to give birth then the baby kept until it is healthy enough to survive- and many don't. I have seen this more than once in my own family. Also right here there is far more instances of cancer than anywhere around here. It is all because of chemical plants and a gaseous diffusion plant in other counties. I was told first hand about an elementary classroom here that has 25% of the kids with mental and severe behavioral problems. They have so many messed up kids anymore they have come up with names for the conditions I have never heard of! Those poor kids, what have we done to them! And like you were talking about, no doubt all this stuff messes up DNA, so it is passed on.

Monsanto and all the rest along with the USDA and other government agencies and the majority of the farmers (the big ones) do not care what they are doing because all they see are dollar signs. It's like smoking. Years ago we really didn't know what it did to people. But NOW THAT WE KNOW they still do it because of the money!!! It is the same with everything else including steriods, antibiotics, ect and now GMO foods. They will deny deny deny and persecute anybody that dares to stand up to them or speak out very loudy. There are some messed up people out there!

Honestly I think a lot of those issues come from something else entirely. I am a strong believer inbeing natural but I look at scientific facts and base my thoughts off of those.

Id like to pose the argument that GMOs are NOT a demon in disguise. While we aren't sure, there's no evidence to support that the GMOs themselves are bad. The fact that they allow the increased use of chemicals is bad but the GMO process itself is not so bad. Looking at things like Golden Rice which can save thousands of children from dying of malnutrition can put things in perspective.

Here is another thought. Many people with the healthiest flocks of chickens in the world use GMO feeds. Bee probably has GMOs in her flock... I doubt she buys USDA organic feed at $1/lb to ferment for her flock. I know of few people who do. Rather, it is the management of the flock that matters. How MUCH they eat, how MUCH space they have, managing bacteria, parasites and waste so they are always exposed a little and never a lot... And breeding the healthiest chickens. If a chicken gets sick it gets culled producing healthier, hardier birds.

It is an awful thought... But we have done the exact opposite with humans. We cure diseases that would kill people with simple chemicals and then wonder why modern people get sick all the time? Many mental disorders such as downs syndrome are genetic... But people who carry this, and a hundred other diseases and conditions, live long lives and we say it is a great thing too! Cancer runs in both halves of my familly and without modern treatments my genetic line would have stopped well before me. Combine the fact that modern medicine is leaving our ENTIRE population vulnerable to every condition genetic or not out there.... With the fact that a modern world allows us to treat our bodies poorly and compromise our systems much like a confined free-fed chicken... Is it really any wonder we have more health issues than ever before in history?

Humans are not a properly managed free range flock. We are a bunch of chemical-laden creatures, in small battery cages we call houses, with all the high calories food in the world right at our fingertips and no reason to go elsewhere. We are the exact opposite of a well managed flock... So of course we drop like flies without the help of a modern world.

GMOs... They're just a needle in a haystack. :p

I remember back in college shooting up day old calves with steroids and never thinking twice about it. That was just what we were trained to do to get the most ibs of gain before slaughter day. That was what mattered and you never considered what those steroids would do to people who ate that meat.

It is a scary thought but we already know what that does to chickens... We know what it does to dogs... We know what it does to horses, sheep, pigs, goats.... Why would it be any better for humans to breed diseases in, encourage a lack of motion, and then treat every illness with antibiotics? Personally, I have gotten one vaccine in nearly two decades, my hobbies and lifestyle is one of doing things outdoors, and I have no intention of adding more of my cancer and joint issue riddled genetics to the world... It doesn't help that my beau's familly has similar genetic issues...

It is a bad thought, because it is eugenics. And eugenics is bad. It means some people get to reproduce and some don't. It is also how natural selection works and how we can breed flocks of chickens that can survive just about anything the world throws at them. There is no good solution.

I am still dreaming of a massive natural disaster that will take it all out of our hands anyhow. :p Then natural selection can come back and maybe as a species we can recover...

Okay. I am done with my scary genetics and management of the human species rant now. For now the beat things we can do in the world is take care of ourselves the best we can, and maybe adopt if we know we carry severe genetic issues and want kids. Goodness knows there kids out there that would love to have a nice home!

I am going to go see if my hens have layed me any more pretty and darker eggs yet! Maybe I will start getting eggs more regularly if they have!
