Fermenting Feed for Meat Birds

No one preaches here unless it's about keeping things simple when you ferment the feed!

I dont care if you proselytize the world as far as Im concerned rhats ur right but its against byc rules I just think its silly and yet a means.to an end so whatever makes you happy illustions and all as long as it doesnt hurt another but BEE already covered that in her eloquent essay . I will say and I could be mistakened but assuming it.was you Id be explaining to Bee Y you didnt offer her a copy but thats just the way I roll I guess not everyone thinks the same thank G O D smile

Doing a chicken inspection come Saturday night(yes, that's the best thing I can think of doing on a Sat. night) and will be checking bugs, keel bones and butts. Noticed just in the past few days the crops looking prominent after a feed, which is not as it should be in these fatty girls. Sometimes they will lose a little condition when going into spring laying but not much...but this crew are not laying heavy, so must look into it more closely.

Gave them a dose of raw garlic today for a spring tonic. I don't get too excited about such things...they were out from daylight to dark today, foraging while the getting was good. They worked almost 2 acres of ground, frantic for "real" food.

Got the window open right now and a breeze is coming in softly...it's 68* here right now and the stars are bright. Next week it's supposed to be back down to *5 at night and teens and twenties in the day.

Thats funny because when I was reading ur explaination of my ? I thought you are describing a dog the 4 legged kind and as I said Im. taking a dog to AK. That is soooo cool and life affirming in a sense its all in the little things really. smile. quote name="Beekissed" url="/t/644300/afermenting-feed-for-meat-birds/14610#post_12870229"]Until then, you know what hens are looking for in the essence of a rooster.....  :D
