Fermenting Feed for Meat Birds

Yup. I'm no Spring chicken, but not quite ready for the compost heap yet!!
I bet i'm right there with ya or further ahead.

Tonight on through next week we're going to have temps in the mid 20's at night into 40's daytime so I put the ff in a heated dog bowl tonight and put it in their coop, Interested to see if they'll eat it since it's not in their usual place.
 
Pardon the newbie but how much faster? I am new to chickens (first full year) and am eager to learn the best husbandry from the outset through the OT's here.

Don't know...never tried it without it. Depends on the surrounding temps as to how much the grain ferments but the studies stated that it would normally take 8-15 hours but is faster when active enzymes were added. Didn't remember how much faster... I'm old and can't remember a lot of things, ya know.

63 46 is very young, my son is 45. I just maybe the oldest chick here.
