Fermenting Feed for Meat Birds

All of my roosters could be seen stretching out their necks  like they were crowing and opening their mouths, but no sound coming out.....kinda like they were warming up.  That was usually 12-14 weeks

Mine only do that when they go into a feeding frenzy whilst eating FF ! LOL.

Mine will get up on a perch and do that. I had one that I wasn't sure whether it was a pullet or not, and when I saw that, I told my husband that it was a rooster, and sure enough, it was. I have seen several of mine do that right before they start crowing.....well, before they start kazooing...LOL

Thanks, TW ! I'm starting to think the same thing ! I was hoping I would have at least one roo outta the bunch, dang it ! Lol

well I got your share AND my share of the roos in my bunch. lol Have gotten rid of all of them now though except 2 rir roos.

I was hoping out of the 13 that one was a roo but it isn't looking so good.

You guys were fairly quiet yesterday, hhmmm? No ramblings... I spent the day cutting firewood... o'joy. I have a chainsaw and maul and splitting wedge. all armstrong powered. I have come to the conclusion I'm getting too old for this lol. If I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.... Today is muckout day, everybody needs the pens cleaned soooo glip glop glurge...WWhhhizzzz... clunk!

Just been catching up on posts and haven't felt like talking because I got sick too. Also my last post on a different thread was not well recieved so trying to be more careful how I word posts. I am non-confrontational by nature. As much because I can't remember why people might be upset with what I had to say as anything. Goes back to a head injury caused by a van using my head as a springboard.

As for posts not well received, many of us have done that, so don't worry about it. Some people intentionally make offensive remarks, some make inadvertently offensive remarks, and some just like to take offense!

I'm sorry you are still suffering from your head injury. Those things take a lot of time. I hope you continue to improve.
