I've never been to TX, Beverly, but I've been told that I've been made an honorary Texan over on the Texas thread here on BYC. I'm quite humbled and honored by that!

Tis true, we have adopted Bee and are awaiting her visit to our beloved state! We plan on kidnapping her and not letting her go. She is wasting away in WVA!!

Well Bee the supplement the lady told me about that her family was on, (I think I told you about it) lol) anyway is WORKING to clear this mess outta my lungs! PTL! The name in case anyone else is interested is N-ACETYL CYSTEINE and I found it at www.puritan.com buy one get 2 free.

She said her family of 6 was on it since Feb. and none of them have been sick since! I started it on Monday of this week and I am spitting hunks out.

Sorry to be so gross but wanted to show you how well it's working.

Hubby also started taking it and he said he thinks his sinus is better in the mornings. Life Extension had a write up about it when I googled about it. That's a magazine that talks about vitamins and such. Just sooooo excited that it's working!!! Didn't get the meds filled again because I was hoping and praying this would work and it is.

So glad to hear you've found a remedy and are finally on the mend. Thanks for the update and the health tip. I also have written it down for future reference.

Good morning all.

Has anybody got any extra diapers? I need to bring my babies in. LOL It is supposed to get down in the teens here tonight and be COLD for about the next week! Oh boy! Brrr!

To use that in a sentence... "We could all go to Bee's house and make Baptist pallets!" lol

Please, What's a "Baptist pallet"? I'm a Baptist and right now I am watching craigslist for free pallets to make my chicken coops. How do the two come together?

I cheated, I googled it!!! A baptist pallet is when parents would put a blanket on the ground for the young'uns to lay on during the evening church services.

I hear you Bee!! I am waiting for that day to come also.

Finally got my bliss! Worked all day in the blistering cold wind and finally got to come into the wood heat, eat a bowl of homemade chicken soup and take a hot shower. Now THAT'S living, folks! Supposed to get in the teens tonight and tomorrow, it's spitting snow here and I got to see a wondrously beautiful sunset up on the hill as we finished up with firewood. All purples, pinks, salmons and gold!

Tomorrow I pick up two new layers and a passel of free meat roos!

Got their pen all cozied up and ready with a thick bed of shavings and leaves. The new layers are BAs and are supposedly just POL, so that should be interesting. We'll see how they like the life of a free ranger!


Side note: Can't remember now who thought of the ice chest for the FF but I want to give feedback...the ice chest is working beautifully, no freezing of contents and a good ferment still going. Wish I had thought of that idea because it's a doozy!

Tonight will be the true test of my waterer setup, to see if it will remain thawed clear down to the nipple lever...so far it's done great in temps in the 20s.
