Disney is lovely in winter and at Christmas time. Went there just after Xmas last year for my birthday. It was awesome. Also that last post of mine was supposed to say that crampons are spiky on the bottom, not spinnet. Freaking auto correct.

Wish I had that kind of grace and coordination! If there's a sharp corner in the house, my shin my hip or my funny bone will find it. If there's a slippery spot to be had outside on the 4" mound we have around my hawthorn tree by the chicken pen I will slip, fall and break my neck on it. I envy those with balance!
We're headed to Florida next year for Christmas at Disney, but that's about as close as I like to get to hot and humid.Hawaii was even worse. Pretty, but not places I'd want to live. I don't like to sweat when I'm just sitting still.![]()
I used to worry about the animals, but I've since found a couple people I trust implicitly. Two of maybe 5 people in the world I trust. Between my vet and my realtor, my critters are good to go. We don't have kids. We're selfish and spend that money traveling when we can. It's nice to not have to worry anymore.![]()
You're lucky! There's just so much to do here,it's not easy to find two or three people (around here) with enough knowledge and willingness to take on this size of project. Even just to find someone who will come twice a day to milk the goats leaves me stuck.
Most chickens don't give a flip who feeds and waters them or collects egge but goats...ha, they're a strange lot...lolol![]()

LOL yes I'm afraid goat milking is a lost art!!!!! lol By machine or hand???? Growing up when I lived w/ my Gma we always had milk goats and hand milked.
Hand milking ONLY...I have friends who have a very large herd and use machines...constant battle with mastitis.
I milk 4 Saanens twice a day...can knock it out quickly and I enjoy the time with the goats...Good time to examine the udders
and just think about what's going on for the rest of the day...
I've been all over the States, my father had a wandering soul and itchy foot. As far as the whole deal weather, cost of living, people, etc... There is no place I would rather live (that I could afford) then Green Country here in Oklahoma. However if I ever have the chance and could afford financially to do it I would in a heart beat move to a warm (year round) location w/ easy access to the ocean. Doubt I could ever afford to live on it, but I would like to live close.
Oklahoma would probably be my second choice. I ran out of oklahoma city for ROCOR for about 6 years and always loved OK too. Some very pretty prairie you guys have, with decent weather.
