I like anything with chocolate and almonds! My favorite ice cream~which I've only found once in my life~ is chocolate almond.

Braums is a local ice cream company here, they have restaurants all over out area, anyway they have chocolate almond ice cream and it is awesome, they also have a bourdeaux cherry amaretto which is cherry ice cream (big sweet cherries) that have bing cherries and almonds in it

I would have a hard time choosing a favorite between the two.

Just don't try to make any more chocolate mice... There's only one of me! The world can't handle any more!

Today there is a TOTAL blizzard outside. We have gotten a few inches in a few hours already. Amazingly the chickens are out in this. They are mostly hiding under the rabbit hutch but they are braving the heavy, heavy snow... I guess it is a bit better than the heavy, heavy rain we got. All the bunny bottles froze solid overnight, and my one cage that's under an awning because I don't have my shelf setup yet got snowed on. He's surrounded by my wood piles and under an awning and the snow STILL reached the inside of his cage AND the inside of my garage for that matter. Poor bunny. I put extra stuff over/around his cage. All his fresh hay was lightly dusted with snow because of all the wind we got! My back yard has gone from lake to completely frozen over the past 48 hours as well. I am glad I brought my FF inside. It's by the back door which is the coldest spot in the house but it's not too bad and it still ferments!

My whole house absolutely REEKS of cookies right now. I have a bit of a break today... Since the snow is so bad it's just going to be cleaning until my beau comes back from NY today. Then we bake even more cookies (gingerbread this time, something bitter to counteract the sweet of all the choco chip, peanut butter, and oatmeal butterscotch!) and finish wrapping presents all classic like with our tiny tree lit and Christmas music playing!

The meat birds look a little bit better every day, but I will probably butcher them after Christmas between xmas and new years. I may even do one on my birthday. (Thanks for the birthday wishes, by the way!) Maybe I will pluck one and roast it for new years dinner!

We got one lone, frozen egg again today.. None of the new girls or the aussies are laying. Jus my big, beautiful golden girl, Nugget. We are considering supplemental lighting. Has anyone ever tried those AA battery-powered indoor/outdoor LED light strings for supplemental lighting? I was thinking of throwing like 2-3 of those with rechargeable batteries in something like a jar and trying that! We'd like to be getting more bang for our 2lbs of feed every day! And by bang, I mean eggs.

Oh...TW? You'll be pleased to know that I've decided to keep that foo-foo Cochin chicken.....

For now. There's just something about him that I like but I cannot explain it properly other than he's smart, he's humble, and I like how he carries himself, though he has no practical purpose other than for eating. I'll have to see if he can integrate into the flock without too much loneliness and misery. I'm thinking he can pal with the two new BAs which are also having some trouble truly finding the right niche.




.....and I've found he likes the same movies I do and likes how I season my popcorn.

If you were thinking of me, you were probably latching down the windows and door so I wouldn't break in to get the chocolate!!!

I am an 'honorary' Okie. Braum's is the best. You have to try their Black Forest Sundae. MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmm Here are the ingredients:
