Fertile Egg Guidance

Just by 24 fertile eggs. My incubator will not hold all 24. I have a broody silkie hen that just hatch 4 baby chicks and she is now moved to a very small crate in the garage where she can be comfortable with her new babies.

Can I put a handful of fertile eggs under my broody hen that is also raising four baby chicks for the first time or is that too much for her to manage?

She won't stay on the eggs. She has shifted her attention now to taking care of the chicks, so that's where her focus is.

What kind of incubator do you have? Maybe there's a way to get them all to fit?
