Fertile egg yolk?

Thanks everyone! I originally thought they were all girls but can’t figure out the bullseye on the yolk! These birds are quite the mystery to me lol

Yikes! I also don't see any obvious roos. I agree...the red and yellow X birds have the roo-iest heads with big combs/waddles but I don't see any pointy or showy roo feathers. It would be fun to incubate a few eggs just to help verify the eggs aren't fertile. I would expect showy feathers, crowing, mating, tid-bitting and over-the-top cocky behavior if you had roos. My dominant roos are ridiculously roo-ee!

If they are as old as you say they are, they would typically have some good saddle feathers by now to tell! Between 12 and 20 weeks, the saddle feathers usually come in good!

Just how do you look at an egg and tell if it is fertilized? I was always told that you could not tell and I have never seen anything that told me. I have been raising birds and selling eggs for 20 years, sometimes with a rooster in the flock and sometimes without.

You have to look at the yolk.
Can't tell without breaking open the egg(if that's what you were thinking).

I’m seeing conflicting info on the subject so just want to know, does this egg appear to be fertile? I know it’s okay to eat either way but if it is a I have a cock in the hen house that I wasn’t aware of lol only two of six have started laying so though I was pretty positive at this point they were all female I’m a little worried over the yolk. I’m a newbie so I greatly appreciate the help!
I think it's fertile. Any chance one of your girls has been tipping out to the neighbor's fields??

So what do you look far when you crack it open, I was always told there was no way to tell.

If there is no rooster in the flock there is no way a hen can lay a fertile egg. The roosters main job is to fertilize the eggs and most of them know how without any coaching.
