Ok, so last year my husband bought some broad breasted turkeys. After getting them I was doing research which everything said they could not naturally breed. So, that's fine and all, but went to make one for breakfast this morning and to me... this turkey egg looks fertile?

Many people make the false assumption that broad breasted turkeys cannot breed naturally because the hatcheries use artificial insemination.

They are inefficient at it and more capable of natural breeding when they are yearlings. There is also a high risk of injury to the hens.
