I just bought a dozen fertile eggs from whole foods and put them my incubator. I hope I can get some to hatch. I've seen the success that some of you been having with the Trader Joe eggs so I decided to give it a try. My local trader Joes didnt have fertile eggs so I went with whole foods. Wish me luck.!

it will be interesting to see what you get! kinda like a grab-bag of chickens. i would love that. i love surprises in chickens. that's one of the reasons why i love the EE breed so much.....u never know what they're gonna look like as adults....and then you get the surprises of finding out what colors they're gonna lay. good luck, and keep us posted!

I've read another topic a while ago where they hatched fertile eggs from a store. Does anyone know what breed it ended up being???

Good luck with your hatching. We don't have Trader Joes, but we do have whole foods market.

Yeah i was also thinking maybe barred rock

. Fowlmamma, They cost me $3.29 a dozen. I will keep everyone updated. Hopefully I have better results than last time. This will be my second time incubating, ever, and my first was a disaster. They were supposed to hatch last week, two were dead in the shell and the rest were undeveloped...

I think I will do better this time seeing as how I have a lot more knowledge on the subject.
