I am wanting to breed my light sussex bantam as she is broody and I was wondering how long the rooster has to be in the same area as the hen?
Any advice would be much appreciated!! Thanks

Normally once a Hen is broody they stop laying. There may be a few eggs at the beginning, before she gets serious, but it's to late for her to breed with the male. Maybe I don't understand the question?

Sorry I didn't make the question clear enough! Also I have posted another thread and have been told that they stop laying once they are broody, Thank you so much for the help!! I have also been told that the eggs she has been laying in the past week will be fertile as she has been with the rooster for over 3 months. So I have just put those eggs under her and am hoping for the best! Thanks again for your help
