Ok, we cannot keep up with all the muscovy that are laying and hatching this year!! I need to know how to handle fertile eggs as I believe we have buyers for them? I know I am particular about handling my fertile quail eggs but not sure about muscovy? My quail eggs are collected 2 times daily, kept at 55-60 degrees and turned daily. I do not keep any quail hatching eggs past 7 days. Is it the same principal for muscovy? I have almost 20 eggs out there now that have been laid in the last week.

Yes, same. Best stored at room temp (60-70 degrees). I store in a carton pointy end down.
I don't sell eggs over 3 days old to ensure fertility isn't compromised.
I also incubate weekly batches so I can tell my buyers what current fertility rates are.

Hi everyone,
I bought same day old muscovy fertile eggs that arrive tom. I will have my girl hatch them...very broody! I know you put them in an egg carton bottoms up. My question is: Do I refrigerate them, or at what degrees (F) should I keep them before putting them under her?
Thank you.
