I have hen eggs i checked them today and a few are obviously fertilised but my hen is not sitting on them I had a brooding hen but her eggs hatched 2 days ago what do I do
If you have a male, every egg (or pretty darn close) will be fertile. But just because you have fertile eggs doesn't mean a hen will decide to sit on them.
Is this a broody that quit sitting on the eggs? If so, the best option would be to get an incubator and incubate the eggs for the remainder of the 21 days. If you don’t have an incubator you can make a DIY one or go buy one from TSC.
If you have a rooster all eggs will be fertile all the time. If you don’t want more chicks, then collect them and eat them. If you do want chicks, your broody that just hatched the two chicks is going to be busy being a mom and will not sit on eggs again until she is broody again which is an “only time will tell” kind of thing and you’ll have to incubate Any remaining eggs that she quit sitting on.
