Fertility/color Question

So I gave up trying to find my Buffs a mate of the proper age/breed. I picked up a lovely Cayuga Drake instead.

Once I put him with them, how long until their eggs are fertile?

What color will the ducklings hatch out?

I found it funny that everything at the sale the other day were hens and not drakes!

The eggs should be fertile almost as soon as they start breeding. Since the Cayuga is the drake and if the Buffs are pure Buff (homozygous for Blue), you should get all Blue offspring. It just depends on a few factors that could alter the color a little bit. It should be an interested cross.
