Granny's gone and done it again

Hubby had a really bad fall off a ladder 4 1/2 yrs ago, and tore his shoulder almost right through. Surgeon showed us the x-ray with only a couple of mm still holding on.
Surgeon has a good rep and lived up to it.
Pysio and Hubby clashed - so I had to go to every visit to quell the tesestorme clash. :rant
He did a lot of pulling on these specially made tensioning rubbers - each one was solider than the last - some just across the body pulling, some hung from the ceiling and full work out stuff.
While he had to quit working as an electrician/technician (no one will sign off on this ability to hang on if he falls off a ladder anymore)
he is back to working full time as a maintenance tech at the local Trade training centre. And just keeps mum about the fact that he (having 2 trade certificates) is more qualified than the lecturers.
He is also back to carrying the 20kg bags of seed, but not chucking them up on this shoulder anymore.
Wow, that's a lot to go though. Poor guy.

His spinal canal is much smaller than it should be in his upper and lower back. That makes the vertebrae pinch the spine when he moves is certain ways. Neurosurgeon will tell us what the options are but surgery is likely. All prayers appreciated.
You got it! He's on my personal Prayer 911 list. So are you!

Another exercise I remember for my shoulder ... they had a little ladder-like gizmo attached to the wall. They had me "climb" up it with my fingers as high as I could go about 20 times and back diwn again. Then I'd do the same at home, climbing up and down the fireplace bricks. Eventually they also added pulling a washcloth behind my back like I was washing my back, with one hand by my waist and one over my head, then switching which hand was where, using a towel for tension. That was weeks or months later, though. Don't rush it! So much fun, lol!

You got them, Iris.

I have a narrowed spinal canal in my neck along with more narrowing in the openings where nerves branch out from the spinal cord. Makes life interesting when I sneeze hard and have lightning bolts shooting down my left arm so I can imagine what the poor guy is going through.

Oh I've already learned what happens when you push the comfort margin a bit. Won't do that again, nosiree.

I'm not kidding myself. I'm almost 72 and severely injured my shoulder. I figure that is if I can get 75% of my gunction back and get rid of most of the pain I'll be tickled pink.

I am 72 and have my mobility back, but not 100% of my strength (pickle jars, a pox on thee!). Which I never saw as that much of an issue until now ... when I have to support myself almost entirely on my arms and shoulders to ambulate with a walker! Fortunately, the PT that came today says it's his goal to help strengthen my arms and shoulders until I can. So, yay! I hope so. Let's go!

Switching pills caused withdrawal?
Yes Maam, They weren't as bad as stopping cold turkey but bad enough

Poor guy, Always something going on. There's Nothing else but surgery? Did the PPs help any? Blocking the nerves maybe? There has to be something..

I started eating a bowl of clam chowder at 10:45 Now at 12:15 I give up. Left about 1/4th of it. It was stone cold but truly I just got tired of chewing.
Sweet dreams, I got all my chores done, even the dishes except for my shower.
