If you want hatching eggs RIGHT NOW, like I did (patience & waiting are not exactly my strong point

!), something that worked out really well for me was;

Go to "Buy/Sell/Trade Hatching Eggs" on this website's message board, and post that you are looking to PICK UP some eggs from local breeders/BYC Members... Be sure and post you location in the topic line, and that you want to find someone local.

I have a dozen eggs in 'bator from a local BYCer that include 4 white Silkies, 7 (well actually 5 now 'cuz 2 were clear) standard sized mixed breeds, and even 1 teeny tiny cute Serama egg.

If you are looking for very specific or hard-to-find breeds, it may not work out as easily, but if somewhat flexible, and willing to drive a bit to pick up some eggs, you can probably find someone to sell you something. Good luck

I don't blame them though. I don't even want to go out in this weather, rather, I can't! The drive is too deep for most cars and the highway plows filled in our drive. Last there was this much snow was when I was in elementary school!

i put an ad on craigslist. i have people seperating into breeding pens to give me pures, for $3 a dozen. one guy has rir for $1.5 or $2 a doz and gets three doz a day. then i have been hatching and selling them for $3 a piece.
o i still get some on here, but i am afraid they will freeze. so can't beat the local price. (for pures) o, i don't care really if they are hatchery or what ever. this are mostly pets. the people buying them just like the idea of pure.....
i agree, try to find them local. good luck
