Fertility??

I had two blue splash bantam hens with a blue cock and decided to cross them with one of my frizzel cocks. How long will it take for their eggs to be fertile with the frizzel?

The usual advice is to have the hen ONLY with the roo you want to be the baby daddy for at least 3 weeks before you begin to collect eggs for incubating. To be on the ultimate safe side, wait 4 weeks.

The hen stores up sperm from the rooster for many days and can lay eggs from the 'old' roo for at least a couple weeks after her last encounter with him.
