Im not sure if this is the right place for this. I have an Easter egger that I was told was a pullet, but several weeks later “it” keeps mounting my black silkie hen (only her though!) I’m pretty sure I see saddle feathers coming in but not 100% sure. Anyway, today my black silkie laid an egg and I decided to crack it open to see if it was fertilized, that way I would know for sure if the EE is a rooster. I can’t tell though, I keep going back and forth on if I see a ring or not. Not sure if it’s important but the egg was laid less than an hour from being cracked, it was actually still warm. Thoughts? I’ll ask post a pick of the chicken in question lol.
