fertilized eggs

I just bought 1 hen and 1 rooster..both 5 months old..when the hen starts laying how often will I have fertilized eggs?..I just want eggs for eating, how can I tell if an egg is fertilized?

Thats a good question, I have 3 roosters and 25 hens,im wondering the same..

You can eat eggs whether or not they are fertilized. You will not be able to tell the difference. Just gather them daily.
