Few Newbie Questions

Thanks! Are they specifically labeled as poultry vitimins or do they have special duck only ones? I don't want to buy the wrong thing and make a mistake like how giving medicated chick feed is bad. I have been keeping food and water with them 24/7 so no problems there. The thing with the hole is their head dunker, but they'll drink out of that too as well as their regular waterer. The green bowl is their "pool" that I let them play in every so often. The sneezy one will only stick her bill part way into the hole while the other goes to town with it. Wish the skilled one would teach the other lol.

I know when I was raising the runners, when they discovered how to clean their nostrils they like became addicted to doing it. And it was the funniest thing to hear and watch. Ive never had a problem with them, their parents did it and so did the calls when i got them. I wouldnt worry unless they start having like mucus comming out of their noses.

We have head dipping! Thank goodness! I even happened to catch it on film. Currently to identify them we have named them Feather and NonFeather. oddly enough it appears that Feather has a feather growing on his legs. Has a bit of "peach fuzz" on them in one spot. So that's how we can tell them apart lol Feather is the trouble maker but is the most calm when being held.

If you have a Tractor Supply store....in the duck/poultry section they should have a vitamin/electrolyte powder....and also a small bottle with a dropper top called Nutri-Drench....I use both as we are recouping a duck that I rescued whom couldn't walk and voila....a month later she's walking! They work great!

Excellent! That's the stuff I bought. Of course they like to play in it more than they like to drink it but it should last quite a while.

I posted a video of them on the previous page. I'd post a pic too but my computer is not cooperating at the moment. Phone is connecting to the Internet but computer is not lol

Arg! Just realized in supposed to be supplementing about 5% oats with their food so they'll grow a little slower and have less leg and wing problems. Bad mom! What type of oats do they eat and like best? Rolled, cracked, whole, etc?

I just use rolled oats from Sams club [Quaker oats] not instant.
