My daughter helped build this coop for her FFA Project. She has one Delaware and one Barred Rock. Chain link run that has wire on top of it and chicken wire on the side buried 8" in the ground. Hardware cloth is also buried 8" inches in the ground. Two next boxes and a retractable ramp.

That's a great looking coop & run My Grand daughter also joined FFA this school year, she's raising 2 Silkies, unfortunately she needs to keep them at the school farmyard Best of wishes to your daughter with her two

My daughter is keeping her hens at school as well. She checks on them everyday and we go by there at least one time on the werkends. We will bring them home during the Christmas holidays and then take them back.

My GD wanted to do a piglet but teacher made an error and she missed the deadline. FFA class was full but my GD was persistent & when someone dropped out, she was added. Proud of her, she has a poultry show in February that she's excited about. Wish I lived closer, they're in FL.

Awwww...... little munchkins. BTW, great job with the coop, do you plan to cover the top of the chain linked chicken run? Like perhaps put a big tarp on it to cover half of the run for shade?

Chicken wire on the top. There is shade under the coop but I might add some to the run too.
