?FFH Mystery Chick?

Now I’m seriously questioning everything, I have never seen speckled Sussex or wlssumers at FFH! I will call tomorrow and see where they get their chicks from!

If I remember correctly the chick is pea combed, I will try to get a pic tomorrow.
Those are all breeds I don’t have except the brown leghorn which I just got a few days ago! I have really wanted a speckled Sussex and a welsummer for quite some time

I'd love pictures. Pretty sure there are rigid serrations, which indicate single, but it could be the angle.

Certainly hope it's one of the two!

Yeah it is a really bad angle, I *THINK* it had a pea come

Looks like a Speckled Sussex, but a comb pics would help.

It is a single comb, the front of the chick is a whitish color
The legs are yellow. I cannot post pictures because I don’t have access to the computer right now. I have a brown leghorn chick( same age) and they are different. The leghorn does not have solid stripes he has splotches on his face and this chick has solid stripes, the leghorn also has a yellowish brown front side.

Speckled Sussex should not have yellow legs. I would guess it is a Welsummer.

That looks like it has white legs, I'm voting for SS.

Definitely looks a lot like a speckled Sussex to me.

on second thought its legs are a whitish orangish color not yellow
