Why do you say definitely a cockerel? What characteristics are screaming boy? I was thinking at 6months is it was a boy the comb would be more defined and there would be saddle feathers.

Comb IS defined, and his whole saddle area is covered in shiny saddles

Does it make rooster sounds? Like does it have a lower raspier voice? Or make “charming sounds”, the feeding sound, or any attempts at crowing? Does it strut and stand up tall?

Pointed saddle feathers. Pullets won’t have those at all.

No one ripped me off. It’s a local lady who breeds chickens. She takes all Roos back and I can pick out another “hen” or get a refund.

Welp! It’s confirmed. I can make any chicken crow at this point and only pick out Roos. He heard my neighbors roo crowing and let a really screechy one go. He hit a few high notes so he definitely hasn’t crowed much if ever. I just have that special talent. Luckily I can take him back and pick out another one since I bought him as a hen. I will pay much closer attention to the saddle region. I appreciate everyone’s input. I was really hoping to have this fibro EE. He’s soo pretty.

I think you got sold a boy on purpose. At that age any ‘breeder’ could tell gender.
