Fibromyalgia

Hi Curliest,

It has been so good for me, really to learn so much from all of you.

Excellent idea.

What I've found here in a few pages is that its not all in my head. I feel that fog and I said today, take it easy for a while until it passes. It did and again I over worked, had to get my disaster put together so I could get the tractor in under cover for that wonderful blessing of painful rain.
I can handle snow storms better then rain.
Recently I had this moment to come back read on, its great to hear that our path is not the only one.
I read where someone had an edocrinologist. Is this something we should all be involved with? Actually a friend mentioned to me that I really needed to call and make an appt with a doctor. I do have the PCOS and all those syndrome x health conditions.
either way, this is a great link, I love it and its so nice to hear of someones bad day, or how they over come certain situations, thank you one and all!

Yesterday was very windy and cold and rainy here, and I had a really rough day. I only post this because I think that changes in the barometric pressure make problems for me. Not just the arthritis, but the FM. Mostly the FM.
The thing is, it doesn't seem to matter if it's changing from a nice weather pattern to a bad one, or from bad to nice, it always causes problems. A cold rainy day can keep me almost totally down, and then after a day or two of it I'm ok (maybe adjust to it) and then suddenly it gets nice out, warm and sunny and the first day I am out of commission again.
I handle that by keeping an eye on local weather forecasts, and plan accordingly. If I can,I plan a slow day for myself on the day of change, and then after that I'll be ok. And what the heck, a cold rainy day just calls for a good book and a cup of coffee with a cuddly blanket, right? A good day, relax in a sunny spot with the laptop. If you can't do that, at least plan for extra pain relievers and try to take a long slow lunch break.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Curliet,

I share the same feeling. I was in agony yesterday. My son was shocked when I got out of his car and had obvious trouble even walking.

It was very cold and damp here, the snow has all cleared but it is sooo very cold.

As a few here have discussed I have real problems with the balls of my feet, and righ now they are very painful.

My arthritis is not so bad, I can wrap a scarf around my neck.

Still having huge problems with my arms too.

Hope you feel better soon, I think we need some spring now.

Winter can be pretty but painful.

Oh heavens girl, I hear you loud and clear! Snow doesn't seem to hurt me as bad as severe cold snaps and rain. We have had the rain coming in yesterday, I pushed myself for the last 4 days trying to empty out the garage and haul stuff to the dump, metals, parts and crap! It still has a long way to go, but today I don't believe I'll be able to do much. Awoke with fatigue, achy back, and my pelvic bone feels like it is swollen beyond its stretch. Its weird how we have the same types of triggers for pain. May be snow, not rain, or fog, but not clear- what ever it is, I am certainly dragging butt!
I had not taken much in the way of pain med since my increase in seizure meds, but the last few days, I've needed a couple a day.
I find that smells seem to help me. Lotions, oils, the closer to natural as you can get, those danged aerosols and plug ins will knock my socks off! I think the aerosol is something that bothers or triggers my health issues.
Lay low, read a book and find a funny one or movie, eat popcorn, iced tea/something cold and laugh. Laughter is the best medicine for us all!
Thinking of all of you!
Kel

Very true Spook,

you are right laughter is the best medicine.

I am just trying to reduce outside work and stay warm until the weather comes good. Now looking for some fun entertainment.

Maybe a DVD.

Have a good day and wishing you feel better soon.

Jena.
