Fig Leave Dangers?

I hope this finds you all well. I've got another question I'd like to run by you so I can pick your brain. We've extended the area in which we are allowing our chickens to free range and it includes a number of fig trees. The ladies seem very taken by the fig leaves but I have now heard that they could be toxic to them. Does anyone know if it's safe for laying hens to nibble on fig leaves?

I, personally, don't have any experience on this, but I looked it up and I everything says no... this may be like apple seeds though, where everyone has a different opinion
