HI All advice needed
We had some quail eggs we hatched together, we ended up with 3 females and one male, all was well until they matured at 6 weeks, then the male started chasing the females around. He then started attacking then causing 2 of them to bleed between the eyes, we removed him.
WE have tried twice to reintegrate him and he did the same. we tried for a third time. He first tried to mate continually with them all as fast as he could, then one on the females turned on him and drew blood between the eyes.
We have removed him again.
We cant keep him in a separate cage as we now have 6 different cages as we keep breeding and it seems the different ages wont mix.
Any Idea's please?

Aggressive Quail
^x10 In my experience if you don't have the room to selectively isolate agressive males between 5 & 8 weeks old until they outgrow the raging hormones or prove themselves to be genuine bullies, then the humane and tasty solution as PK most excellently illustrated, is culling.
