fighting!!

Hi!! I have 5 schicks only 1 1/2 weeks old and I seem to have 2 that keep fighting!! im a newbie at this so im unsure if im suppose to separate them or if they'll sort it out themselves...??

They are figuring out who is in charge. (The pecking order.) As long as things aren't bloody I'd say they are fine.

Do they have plenty of room? Crowding can cause fights.

they do have plenty of room!! it just seems like 2 of them are clashing!! xx

They could be 2 little Roos. I had a broody hatch 3 peeps and the 2 that seemed to always be chest bumping turned out to be boys. But I've had all girl chicks that would fight a little as they sorted out who was to be top chick.

You are going to see alot of this as they grow. Even the pullets will fight each other for dominance. Nothing to be too concerned about because they usually don't carry this fighting far enough to cause harm. One of them usually gives up before real harm is done.

do you have a red light on them?
red calms them down so they don't fight as much

yep sure do!! today they haven't been too bad so hopefully its an end to it but for 5 days straight it was starting to get a bit nasty between the 2!!
