I am so excited I got my 12 new babies. A hawk took my earlier batch so this is my replacement with a tractor on the drawing table.

They are adorable and when I got them this morning I had time to set them up, food, water and leave for work. Tonight I counted and I have 5 extra. All five are a orange/yellow color. I specified no fillers in writing and by calling. Do you think they just felt generous or did I get 5 roos? I ordered 3 BR, 3 SLW, 3 GLW, & 3 EES. Easy to identify the twelve I ordered and the orange/yellow 5 are extras. Any ideas.

Good question. They are more than likely roos but maybe I'm wrong. They probably thought that there were more needed for safe shipping. Hope they're hens though.

Called packing peanuts, they are usually extra roos added for warmth, only I don't know why you'd need them this time of year.

Packing peanuts, more than likely roos.

I have 9 packing peanuts, 3 barred rocks and 6 RIRs, that are going to be supper when they get a little bigger
