filthy hatching eggs from eBay

We run misters on hot days, when we do that we get MUDDY eggs. If it's big chunks of mud, I take a butter knife and gently scrape the shell. It's gets the worst of the mud off. I wouldn't wash them though. Maybe a warm papertowel to wipe them carefully, but I don't like to submerge them. Take lots of photos and document what you do, and let the seller know how you feel.
